Professional Presenters:
Cathy F. Bowers, President of National Patient Advocate Inc. in Plantation is a graduate
of the University of Miami's Alfus Patient Advocacy Certificate
Program. As a Patient Advocate Cathy’s priorities are helping to reduce
medical errors and achieving optimum well-being for her
clients. Ultimately, Cathy helps her patients as they navigate through
the healthcare system so that they can better focus on recovery.
Susan Fleischer, LCSW, MSSW, ACSW, CMC, CSW-G, CSWM, SMFSW, is a Past-president of both the Florida Geriatric Care Managers
Association and the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care
Managers. In addition, she is one of only three Floridians who have
received NAPGCM’s designation of “Fellow of the Leadership Academy.” She
has held positions with various organizations in Florida and is
currently the Executive Director of SeniorBridge’s National Care
Management Network.
Michelle Hollister, Esq., Managing Partner at Solkoff Legal, PA, in Delray Beach, is
President-Elect of the National Guardianship Association. Previously,
Michelle served as the Director of Probate and Guardianship Services for
the 17th Judicial Circuit as well as the Executive Director of
Florida’s Statewide Public Guardianship Office where she was responsible
for the oversight of Florida’s 15 public guardianship offices.
David Levy, JD is a
Family Care-giver Expert and pioneer in the field of non-clinical
family care-giving. He is President and CEO of the Family Caregiver
Advocacy Group and Chairman of the American Association for Caregiver
Education. David is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator
and an approved Subject Matter Expert on Eldercare and Intergenerational
Conflict. With over 20 years of experience as a Gerontology Educator,
David’s areas of expertise include complex family care-giving, aging,
chronic illness, and family dynamics.
Holly O’Neill, Esq., a partner with Miller and O’Neill in Boca Raton, is a Board Certified
Elder Law Attorney and a Board Certified Wills, Trusts, and Estates
Attorney. She has an LLM in Taxation and is a Florida Supreme Court
Certified Circuit Civil Mediator. An active member of the community,
Holly is involved with various charitable groups and she is a
Past-President of the South Pam Beach County Florida Association for
Women Lawyers.
Lenora Porter-Wynn is a Senior Human Services Program Specialist for the State of Florida’s
Adult Protective Services Program Office in Tallahassee, Florida. She
is a seasoned trainer, responsible for providing training to the Adult
Protective Service’s Investigative and Protective Supervision staff and
to other agencies on the issues of abuse, neglect, and financial
exploitation of vulnerable adults.
Kenneth Rubin, Esq., a pioneer in the field of Elder Law, is a Board Certified Elder Law
Attorney. He is a Past-Chair of the Elder Law Section of the Florida
Bar and has lectured for the Bar’s Elder Law Certification Program. Ken
is a Past-President of the Area Agency on Aging of Broward County, a
Past President of Area-Wide Housing for the Elderly of Broward, a
Founding Director of the Broward County Alzheimer’s Association, a
Director of the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Broward County,
and the Florida Bar's Designee to the End of Life Panel, which was
established by the Legislature to recommend changes in end of life legal
and medical procedures. Ken is Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit
Civil Mediator.
Enrique Zamora, Esq., is the Founding Partner of Zamora & Hillman in Coconut Grove. He
is a Board Certified Elder Law Attorney and a Florida Supreme Court
Certified Circuit Civil Mediator. Enrique’s practice is focused on
Elder Law, Trust Administration, Estate Planning, and Probate and
Guardianship administration and litigation. He is Chair of the Elder
Law Section of the Florida Bar. |
